I was most fortunate to hear Pandit Bhimsen Joshi singing this, at the Dover Lane Music Conference in Januyary 1985; he announced that he had just completed recording this for the film Ankahi.

I was at the Dover lane Music Conference in Calcutta in January 1985, and one of the favourites of the audience and an essential part of the DLMC was Pt Bhimsen. He sand this song and said that he had just finished recording it the previous day, for the film Ankahi.
